O: Weight equal to 533 g, so increased by 36 grams since last weigh-in. BCS still at 2.0. Checked bandage on L knee. Wound scabbed over and healing, so took bandage off and did not replace. Administered meds PO. Very vocal after administering meds. Dropped 55 grams of rat in cage.

O: Keel has soft/rubbery feel. No flex felt at fracture sites on long bones. Small wound and swelling found on ventral aspect of the R distal ulna, cleaned and covered with SSD, telfa/tegaderm. Wound also found on dorsal R elbow with embedded feather - cleaned and covered with SSD, telfa and tegaderm. Eyes appear WNL, bird visual.

Had eaten all of food when went to check on and was standing at center of cage with full crop. Switch to SF BID

S: Hock sitting at back. Lay down when drape put over.

O: Very large cast in cage. Drew blood from L leg, PCV on low end. Took radiographs. Noted fractures to distal R ulna, distal L radius/ulna, and increased density to proximal R TBT. Palpated all areas of abnormality. R TBT feels wider than L but has not additional flex to bone. R ulna and L radius/ulna all have callous over them but still have additional flexion in them and patient reacted painfully to their manipulation. Gave fluids and 0.14cc meloxicam PO. Dropped 45g rat to see if will SF.
LRS SQ: 22.40 cc (LRS) SQ

A: Multiple fxs in wings, likely from fall from nest. Fxs all feel relatively stable but are still painful to bird. Fxs likely a couple days old based on rate that babies heal at. Fxs feel in good alignment but are close enough to joints that may affect flight. Will need to be monitored. TBT thickening likely a result of an old, partial fx that has fully healed.

P: Discontinue temp, RR, HR check. Rx meloxicam BID for 3d. HF at 11 if hasn't eaten AM food. Monitor fxs, use of both wings, ability to stand/R leg use. Take follow up rads in 1 week

A: BAR. Assumed to be a RTHA initially but vocalizations resembling RSHA lead us to believe the latter; gave Terb assuming RTHA prior to updated opinion. The finder believes the nest to be intact and a block or so away from the field where the bird was found; bones found next to the bird may imply parents may still be in the area. No significant injuries observed, but we'll need to a further look at them before clearing for re-nesting.

P: 5/13 PM - HF in PM; place mirror and stuffy. 5/14 - Rx LRS. Weigh SID. Collect blood, fecal. Radiographs. HF in AM/PM BID, wearing camo. 5/15 vet check.
